Kawaii Monster Cafe turns into a theme park
The iconic Kawaii Monster Cafe located on Takeshita Street closed its doors in 2021 due to the effects of the pandemic, but the KMC Instagram has been thriving with promotional videos and KMC merchendise is sold at the 6% DOKIDOKI shop!
The cafe's concept, mascots and interior was designed by Artist and founder of 6% doki, Sebastian Masuda and opened in 2015. The concept was overwhelmingly sweet with a cake carosel and everything was decorated with candy land patterns and art from the ceiling to the floor.
KMC has collaborated with PAC-MAN and Hello Kitty!
Genda GiGO is an entertainment company that operates amusement arcades as well as bowling alleys and cafes. There are even some arcade crane games from GiGO in the UK.
ASOBISYSTEM is a Harajuku production company that works with a wide array of talented artists, models, actors, creators and social media personalities, most notably, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and ATARASHII GAKKO!
With these two companies working together, we can't wait to see what they will come up with! The Park is set to open in Winter 2025 which is so soon despite there being such limited information currently available. We will post updates on our website so be sure to look out for more developments!
